Welded wire mesh is a rigid, versatile metal mesh made by resistance welding intersecting wires at precise intervals. This creates a firm, dimensionally stable grid structure with consistent mesh openings. Depending on flexibility requirements, welded wire mesh can be supplied as welded mesh panels or welded mesh rolls. Panels provide enhanced rigidity, while rolls offer flexibility for wrapping, shaping, or large-area installation.
It is manufactured from low-carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire, or aluminum–magnesium alloy wire, with optional surface treatments such as electro-galvanized, hot-dipped galvanized, or PVC coating for superior corrosion, rust, and weather resistance. Due to its strength and long service life, welded wire mesh is widely used in infill panels, cages, plant trellises, gabions, plastering, and construction projects.
